Maternity Session: Kelsey + JJ

Hi Friends,

I've been away for far too long. Lately, I've been spending time cultivating my passion for photography. I've been lucky enough to capture some new friends memories of this most special season of their life as husband and wife. Kelsey and JJ are seriously the cutest and I cannot wait to meet their precious little boy. Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot.

Happy Eleven Months!

Dearest Lucy,

You are eleven months old!

Favorites: stealing mommy's glasses, playing with daddy's sunnies, water bottles, standing solo for a few seconds at a time, your lion walker, morning naps, reading books, Brown Bear, sorting objects, morning dance parties, eating, banana pancakes, the weather report, sharing mommy and daddy's food

Very Much Not Favorites: afternoon naps, root vegetables, your first fever, locked cabinets

A look at your tenth month:

You are infinitely loved.

My First Photo Shoot! Maternity Photos: Kristyn + Ryan

Oh, these two! I just love them! A few weeks ago I posted pictures from Kristyn and Ryan's baby shower bbq. Yesterday, I got to spend a couple hours taking amateur maternity photos of them! Kristyn is such a beautiful mama and her baby boy is so lucky to have her!

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!

Dear Mom,

One day a year is not nearly enough to tell you how much I love you. It's not nearly enough to tell you how much I appreciate you. It's not nearly enough to tell you how honored I am to be your daughter.

I have spent 28 years watching, growing, and learning from you. I am the woman and mother I am because of you and I am forever grateful.

Thank you. Thank you for teaching me kindness, thank you for teaching me generosity. Thank you for teaching me what it means to be a strong woman, for teaching me what it means to fight through a tough situation. Thank you for teaching me what it means to love the way you love me, unconditionally.

Everything I know about loving and caring for my daughter, is continually learned from you. I couldn't have been blessed with a better mother, a better friend, a better Nana for Lucy. We love you more and more every day!

You are the best! I love you!

Happy Mother's Day!

One Day Last Week: A Photo Essay

Last week, it rained. It rained all week and I felt like we would never see the sun again. Eventually, the sun came out and we could venture outside again. But while we were fighting cabin fever, I decided to spend one day with the camera permanently attached to my hand.

This was that day. It was a pretty great one!
